If you're interested in finding out more about apprenticeships or want to celebrate apprentices, this is the week for you.
National Apprenticeship Week is a yearly celebration of all things apprenticeships. It’s a perfect opportunity to shout about the amazing work apprentices do every day across the country, in organisations big and small.
Apprenticeship providers use the week as an opportunity to showcase what they have to offer people at the start of their careers. Similarly, apprentice employers look to show potential apprentices what their organisations can offer people in terms of development and career progression.
It’s a chance for organisations and individuals to tackle the stigma surrounding apprenticeships and correct common misconceptions to show it’s an outstanding route into a range of careers.
National Apprenticeship Week 2020 runs 3rd-9th February 2020. It’s the thirteenth addition of the week-long awareness-raising event.
The theme for this year is ‘look beyond’. It’s up for interpretation what that means for you as an apprentice, provider or employer. You could look beyond and challenge the preconceptions apprenticeships have. Or look beyond university and to the future of work through apprenticeships.
Keep an eye out for local events near you for a chance to find out more about apprenticeships, network and raise awareness.
